Demco is a denim and knitwear manufacturer committed to sustainability, innovation, digitisation and design. They invest in renewable energy and water recycling, and strive to reduce waste. They also use ethical working practices to create high-quality garments with minimal environmental impact.

That's why Maison 123 is proud to work alongside Demco to promote fashion that respects the planet and its people.

CLIMATE ACTIONS

 

Energy efficiency: 30% reduction in consumption thanks to investment in LED lighting

Heat recovery from the drying room

Solar production with a capacity of 1.5 MWp and 4,374 solar panels

Carbon footprint certification in accordance with ISO 140067 using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)

CIRCULAR APPROACH

 

Zero Waste, 740 kt of fabric, cardboard and plastic offcuts are recycled each year to create new materials and packaging

Use of 3D modelling (ClO3D) to reduce waste<

Transformation of off-cuts into new GRS-certified denim in collaboration with a local spinning and weaving mill

DURABLE MATERIALS

 

50% reduction in chemicals through the use of new technologies to reduce our consumption of chemicals

Chemicals management, with 95.2% of chemical products complying with ZDHC standards

Analysis of waste water in accordance with ZDHC standards

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

 

Advice unit with loans for staff and creation of a Demco training academy with tailor-made training courses

Job creation in rural areas, 600 jobs in textile activities, 80% of which are held by women

Support for Centres for Young Disabled People with employment, plus financial and material support for three local centres for young disabled people
