Number 1 The Mohair

Mohair is much more than a simple textile fiber; it is a symbol of luxury and comfort, a fabric that wraps its wearer in a cocoon of softness.

MANUFACTURING

1. SHEARING

Angora goats are raised under special conditions to ensure the quality of their fleece. Shearing, which takes place twice a year, is done carefully to avoid damaging the delicate fibers.

2. SELECTION

After shearing, the fibers are sorted based on their length, color, and texture. The longest and finest fibers are usually chosen to obtain the highest quality mohair.

3. WASHING

The fibers are then cleaned to remove impurities such as dirt and grease. A delicate wash preserves the natural softness of mohair.

4. CARDING

The fibers are carded to align them in the same direction, then combed to create uniform and silky strands.

5. SPINNING

The mohair strands are spun to create yarns of different thicknesses. These yarns can then be dyed in a variety of vibrant colors.

6. WEAVING

Mohair yarns are used to create fabrics or knits, which are then transformed into elegant garments and accessories.

OUR STYLE TIP

Embrace mohair for a soft and luminous look. Pair a airy mohair sweater with tailored trousers or a midi skirt for an elegant and modern contrast.

THE BENEFITS

Known for its lightness and natural sheen, mohair combines warmth and softness. Its airy fibers provide a silky touch and excellent insulation while allowing the skin to breathe.

OUR CARE TIP

Prefer hand washing or a cold wool program. Dry flat on a towel and avoid any heat source to preserve its loft and soft texture.
