Welcome to the world of cotton, a classic fabric that embodies softness, comfort and versatility. Cotton is much more than just a fabric. It's a natural material that breathes, caresses the skin and can be shaped to create a wide variety of styles, from casual to elegant.

HARVESTING

Cotton is grown from cotton seeds. Once the cotton has reached maturity, it is harvested using special machines to separate the fibres from the seeds.

SCOURING

The cotton fibres are then scoured to remove impurities such as seeds, leaves and stems.

CARDING AND COMBING

The fibres are carded to align them in the same direction, then combed to obtain a smooth, even yarn.

SPINNING

The combed fibres are then spun to create cotton yarns that will be used to make fabrics.

CARE

Look after your cotton clothes by washing them at a maximum of 40°C, even if they're hard-wearing. Cotton may be damaged by too much washing. We generally suggest using a delicates cycle at 30°C (especially if a garment has accessories on it), and washing items inside out if possible.

OUR CERTIFIED COTTON

Maison 123 is now GOTS certified.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is an organic cotton label, which certifies that a product contains a minimum of 70% organic cotton in its main material.

This certification allows us to trace our cotton, from the cotton ginner to the garment maker. Every link in the production chain is certified and must comply with the stringent GOTS specifications.

 

Today, 64% of the cotton we use in our products is either organic, recycled or in conversion to organic.
