CLIMATE AND BIODIVERSITY
CARBON STRATEGY
We are working on our climate & carbon strategy, with the objective of limiting global warming to a level well below 1,5 degrees Celsius, compared to the pre-industrial level, in accordance with the Paris Agreement.
RENEWABLE ENERGY
We have deployed a policy of controlling our energy consumption in our network of stores for many years. Over the course of renovations and refurbishments of our stores, we have replaced the lighting with LED sources, and the powered equipment with more efficient models. Timers have been installed to turn off our signs and lights at night.
Currently, 100% of the electricity used at the headquarters of Maison 123 comes from renewable sources.
TRANSPORT
94% of our goods travel by boat, the least polluting means of transport for the environment. Downstream transport is carried out by truck from the warehouses to the points of sale. The issue of transport is at the heart of our concerns, and environmental criteria are therefore part of the specifications when selecting our last-kilometre transport providers.
