Our second stop is the Mongolian capital. Perched at 1351 m altitude in the Tuul Valley, the city sits between the banks of the Selbe, Tuul and Uliastai Rivers. We can't turn down the opportunity to spend a night under the stars in a yurt in Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. If you're feeling adventurous, head to the Gandantegchinlen Monastery with its stunning 27 m gold Buddha statue.
