FABRIC FOCUS

MANUFACTURING

#1
FLAX GROWING

The process begins with the cultivation of flax, a natural plant that thrives in temperate climates. Flax fibre comes from the stem of the plant.

#2
HARVESTING

Once the flax has reached maturity, it is harvested. The stalk is cut and the flax fibres extracted.

#3
TREATMENT AND RETTING

The flax fibres are then subjected to a retting process that softens them and makes them more flexible for spinning.

#4
SPINNING AND WEAVING

Flax fibres are spun to create flax yarn, which is then woven into fabrics.

CARE

Wash linen in the washing machine at no more than 40°C. We suggest using a delicates cycle at 30°C. The first time you wash a linen garment, put it in the machine inside out – either on its own or with other clothes in similar colours. Little colour-catcher laundry sheets also work well. Allow linen to air-dry. If you want it to return to its original shape, you'll need to iron it.
